1. What BrilMind Is
BrilMind is a career guidance program for Class 12 Computer Science students in India. For a one-time fee of ₹39, your child gets:
- A career guidance program delivered by Suresh Umapathy (15 years of IT experience, ex-Oracle, ex-JPMorgan)
- Access to a recorded video program on tech careers after Class 12
- Automatic entry into a merit-based bonus prize draw if the ₹39 payment is approved on or before 31 January 2027
2. What BrilMind Is Not
- Not a lottery. Winners are chosen based on academic merit (Class 12 Computer Science marks), not chance.
- Not a game of chance. Tie-breakers are published and objective.
- Not a money game. The ₹39 is a service fee, not a stake or wager.
- Not a betting platform. No bets, no wagers, no gambling.
3. Compliance With the Online Gaming Act, 2025
The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 (PROGA) prohibits “online money games” — games where users pay a fee in expectation of winning a reward.
BrilMind is not an online money game. Here’s why:
- The ₹39 is a service fee for the career guidance program, not an entry fee for a contest.
- The prize draw is a free bonus — no additional payment is required to enter.
- Prizes are not funded from pooled service fees. They are funded by the Company as a promotional expense.
- Winners are chosen by academic merit, not by chance.
For full details, see Section 15 of our Terms & Conditions.
4. Compliance With the DPDP Act, 2023
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) regulates how we process personal data, especially children’s data.
BrilMind complies by:
- We verify parental identity using OTP emailed to the parent’s Google account in accordance with the DPDP Rules, 2025.
- Obtaining verifiable parental consent before processing any student data
- Not tracking or profiling children for advertising or behavioural monitoring
- Storing data securely in Supabase servers located in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1)
- Not transferring data outside India
- Honouring data rights: access, correction, deletion, and grievance
- Retaining data only for the stated period (2 years after the program)
